1. Introduction

This website is operated by Bridge Street Stone. By using our website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not accept them, please do not use our website. We may update these Terms at any time without notice. Please check this page regularly for changes, as they are binding on you.

2. Copyright

All content on this website, including images and text, is protected by copyright. Unless stated otherwise, all intellectual property rights are owned by Bridge Street Stone or our licensors. No part of this site may be copied, reproduced, or distributed without our written permission.

3. Placing an Order

Orders are placed through our online checkout. You will have the opportunity to review and correct your order before completing your purchase. We’ll send an order confirmation once we receive your order, and a dispatch confirmation once your goods are shipped. A contract is formed once the order is dispatched.

We reserve the right to reject orders for any of the following reasons:

  • Items are out of stock
  • Payment cannot be authorised
  • Pricing or product information is incorrect
  • Eligibility criteria are not met

Reclaimed Products Notice: Due to natural variations in reclaimed stone (surface, thickness, and colour), we strongly recommend visiting to view the current stock before ordering. We do not accept returns on reclaimed materials.

4. Pricing

All prices are in GBP (£) and exclude VAT unless stated otherwise. Delivery to specified UK postcodes is included. For other areas, delivery charges will be confirmed at the time of order or in advance upon request. See our Delivery Information page for full details.

5. Cancellations & Returns

You may cancel your order:

  • Before dispatch, by emailing us at hello@stonepaving.co.uk
  • After dispatch, within 14 days of delivery, by contacting us in writing and returning goods in resalable condition

Returns Conditions:

  • A 20% restocking fee and return delivery costs will apply
  • Goods must be returned unused, in original packaging, and in a condition suitable for resale
  • The right to return does not apply to Reclaimed products or items marked as non-returnable
  • We reserve the right to deduct an “Excessive Handling Fee” of £35 per pack if returned goods or packaging are significantly damaged or mishandled

Excessive Handling Deductions

Returned items must be securely repackaged in their original packaging. If items are returned with excessive handling damage, we may deduct £35 per affected pack from your refund. This fee covers the cost of restoring goods to saleable condition. This does not affect your statutory rights.

6. Damaged Goods

Stone is a natural product and may have slight imperfections. We recommend ordering 5–10% extra to allow for breakages. If damage exceeds 5% of your order, we’ll refund the equivalent amount. Replacements for small quantities are not always feasible due to delivery constraints.

7. Product Warranty & Liability Limitations

Except as expressly provided otherwise in an agreement between you and Bridge Street Stone, all products and information on this website are provided “as is” without warranties or conditions of any kind, either express or implied — including but not limited to implied warranties or conditions of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

Bridge Street Stone assumes no responsibility for errors or omissions in product descriptions, pricing, or related content linked to or referenced by this website.

In no event shall Bridge Street Stone be liable for any special, incidental, indirect, or consequential damages of any kind, including (without limitation):

  1. Reliance on materials or advice presented on the website

  2. Costs related to replacement goods

  3. Loss of use, data, profits, or business opportunities

  4. Delays, business interruptions, or project impact

  5. Any other theory of liability connected to product use or information provided

This website may contain technical inaccuracies or outdated information. Bridge Street Stone makes no commitment to update materials or correct errors.

Warranty Coverage (in addition to your statutory rights)

All products are also covered by a warranty for your additional peace of mind. This warranty applies from the original date of purchase. Please retain your order confirmation as proof of purchase.

In the event of a defect, contact us at hello@stonepaving.co.uk and provide both proof of purchase and photographic evidence. If the defect falls within warranty conditions, we will offer a repair or replacement.

Important:
If products are laid despite known or visible defects, Bridge Street Stone reserves the right to refuse any warranty claim. Any replacements will be subject to the same warranty period as the original order (not reset upon replacement).

This warranty does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.


8. Our Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for:

  • Death or personal injury caused by our negligence
  • Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
  • Any rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or the Consumer Protection Act 1987

If you are a consumer:

We are not responsible for any business losses.

If you are a business:

We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or loss of profits, data, goodwill or contracts.

Our total liability will not exceed the purchase price of the goods and only applies to foreseeable losses.

Issues with Orders

If you experience any problems with your order — such as receiving the wrong product, damaged items, or missing goods — you must notify us in writing within the following timeframes:

  • Within 10 working days of receiving your order for issues like incorrect items, damages, or shortages
  • Within 40 days of placing your order if your goods have not arrived

Written notification can be made either:

  • By post to:

For emails, please retain proof of sending (e.g. a sent confirmation or read receipt), as we may request this in case of dispute.

If we receive your notice within the required timeframe, we will resolve the issue by either:

  • Supplying any missing goods
  • Replacing or repairing any incorrect or damaged items
  • Issuing a refund for the affected items

Please note:

We are unable to process claims that are made outside of these timeframes. Submissions made after the deadlines above may be rejected, and Bridge Street Stone will accept no liability in such cases.

9. Privacy Policy

We collect and process personal data in line with our Privacy Policy. By ordering from us, you agree to this processing.

Information We Collect:

  • Name, contact details, and payment info when placing an order

Use of Information:

  • To process orders and provide customer service
  • To improve our website and services

Sharing of Information:

  • We may share your info with trusted third-party partners who help us fulfil orders
  • We do not sell your data

Cookies:

This site uses cookies to function properly (e.g., to manage your shopping cart). You may disable cookies in your browser, but it may limit your experience.

Security & Retention:

We take all reasonable steps to protect your information and only retain it for as long as legally required.

10. Competitions & Prize Draws

From time to time, Bridge Street Stone may run competitions, promotions, or prize draws. Entry into any such promotion is deemed as acceptance of the following terms:

  • All competitions and prize draws are operated at the sole discretion of Bridge Street Stone and may be modified, extended, or withdrawn at any time without notice.
  • Review-based competitions may be operated as prize draws, with winners selected at random using a fair and automated method.
  • By submitting a photo or entry, participants grant Bridge Street Stone the right to use submitted content for marketing purposes, including use on our website, social media, printed material, or advertising campaigns. If you do not want your content to be used publicly, you must notify us in writing at the time of entry.
  • By submitting a photo, you confirm that the materials featured were supplied by Bridge Street Stone, and you accept responsibility for any third-party claims related to copyright or permissions.
  • Winners will be notified via the email address provided at the time of entry within 30 days of the competition’s closing date.
  • Prize winners have 180 days from notification to claim their prize. If not claimed within this period, the prize may be withdrawn.
  • Emails relating to competitions are sent in accordance with GDPR using compliant platforms such as SendGrid. You can opt out or unsubscribe at any time.
  • Opting out of marketing communications before or after submitting an entry does not invalidate your competition entry.
